Usually crawdads are hard to find. They do most of their creeping and crawling in the crevices of large rocks in the river depths and the cover of night's darkness. This misguided creature, however, was roaming the shallows in the brightness of mid-day.
Rick Huotarii’s artistic skills was observed at an early age from his teachers. Rick was foreseen to be a professional artist by age 7. Maturing in central Wisconsin, he took part in outdoor activities on daily basis. His style is authenticity with a somewhat bizarre color palette. Each piece benefits rocks and water as part of the plan due to the credit of design and texture and depth. Rick draws motivation for his style from childhood memoirs of being in the outdoors and individual studies. He works chiefly in acrylics and watercolor. He has been juried on the Portal Wisconsin website, many northern art exhibitions and individual exhibits at galleries. Rick served as peer for the 42nd Annual Festival of Arts in Wausau in 2006.
